About me

Hi, I'm Jisu

Profile photo

Welcome to my portfolio! I'm a senior student at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, majoring in 3D Animation, with a focus on lighting and compositing. I love working on both realistic and stylized scenes, observing the beauty of light and how everything comes together to create something beautiful is what truly makes me happy. Currently, I work as a Lighting & Compositing Peer Tutor at ECU Animation Studio, helping build a stronger community within the program. I'm grateful to be part of the 3D community and excited for all the opportunities ahead!

Graduation Film: Rewired

LightingCompositingMAYA ArnoldNuke2025 - 2026

A story of Kiko and Tobi, Ongoing project by SCavengers team. The best teamwork of strong pipeline. As this project is in the realistic side, I found references from my everyday life and photographs, keeping the look realistic. Greatful to be leading the lighting/compositing team.

Dream Away: Student Film

LightingCompositingMAYA ArnoldNuke2025 - 2026

3rd year student film. A short journey of Ellie falling into the dreamworld with her little friend, star. I'm proud of my choice of art style, use of colour and heavy compositing that is done to create the 'dreamworld'. What I paid the most attention to is the softness and glows, stylized lighting look with warmth.

PRISM: Interactive game

LightingLevel Design Unreal Engine 52025

The most interesting project of mine! During my exchange at Hangzhou, I could build a game with students of CAA and their programmer team. As a gamer and a fan of Unreal Engine, I really enjoyed learning how to create a whole interactive game from the opening to the ending. Our visual goal is dreamcore with a sense of backroom, shifting in between the 'normal' look and 'dreamy' look and my biggest responsibility was to create storytelling by setting up those two looks at the same environment. It was a super fun project!

Outside the Pipeline

My Renders in Real Life

Outside of 3D, I love taking photos of the world. I like to play with lights, colours and interesting perspectives. The beauty of fine renders with no noise!
